Am I the only person that has neighbors with NOISY DOGS I am lucky and have two neighbors with noisy dogs one with a Schnauzer and one with a Lab

For instance last night the Schnauzer allowed his animal to bark in his back yard from about 8:30 to 11:00 incessantly

Are there PPCA by-laws that prohibit this and how can they be enforced?

You are not the only one that has noticed. It seems to happen all of the time and is extremely annoying. It would be nice to sit on your deck after being in the office all day and having a little peace & quiet. Nothing like hearing a yapping dog for hours. Not enough adult beverages to drown it out.

Barking dogs or other loud noises are a violation of the City of Franklin laws.

Call the Franklin police at 794 2513 to report violations and the Franklin PD will respond.

Do not call 911

If whining about your neighbors dogs is your biggest worry, I think you are ahead of the game. Put some earplugs in and enjoy the music.

"Whining about your neighbors dogs" is not whining when you stop putting up with the nonsense and call the police as Bob has suggested. We tried talking to our neighbors twice but it apparently was a waste of time. So we stopped in and spoke with the Franklin police. We were instructed to call them if it happens again and they will send out a police officer. The next time the police are called an animal control officer visits and writes a citation. There is no excuse for disregarding common courtesy and the legal requirement to control noise, animal or human.

Aside from the sonic noise tools you can buy to stop a dog from barking there is a good website to help you. http://www.barkingdogs.net/
